RAVE (Reconstruction in an Abstract Vertices Environment) has its roots in the CMS vertexing community. At the time of this writing, full source code compatibility has been maintained between RAVE and the CMS vertexing and btagging algorithms. This enables the community to use CMS vertexing algorithms in RAVE and vice versa, without any code change at all. RAVE is intended as a vertex reconstruction framework, easily embedabble in various software environments. The first target experiments are the ILC detectors. Blah blah.
